UNFURL
Eco-Somatic Reclamation: Coming Home to the Living Body
What if the medicine you've been seeking isn't somewhere out there, but somewhere in here?
What if your nervous system, in its infinite wisdom, already knows how to find aliveness and belonging? What if that knowing has simply been waiting, dormant in your cells, in the memory of your breath, in the ancient intelligence of your body?
Unfurl is a 6-week journey of re-membering.
Not becoming someone new. Coming back to who you've always been.
We gather in person on the Hamakua Coast, on the earth. Where your nervous system can find regulation and presence. Where the soil beneath your feet, the sea air on your skin, and the witness of others become medicine. Where your body remembers what it means to be alive.
What Is Eco-Somatic Re-Membering?
For nearly all of human history, we lived in reciprocity with the more-than-human world. We knew ourselves as part of the earth's body, not separate from it. This is not mythology. This is our inheritance.
Somewhere along the way, we were severed. From the earth. From our bodies. From authentic feeling. That wound lives in our nervous systems as disconnection, numbing, chronic pain, and the deep sense that something is terribly wrong.
Eco-somatic re-membering is coming back home.
When you attune to the subtle sensations moving through your own body—the tingling at your fingertips, the warmth spreading through your chest, the settling of your breath—you're practicing interoception. You're learning to feel your own internal landscape.
When you notice how your body relates to the ground, to the air, to the presence of others around you, you're building proprioception. You're creating an embodied map of yourself in relation to the world.
From this place of somatic awareness, your nervous system begins to recalibrate. Your window of tolerance expands. You can hold more sensation, more feeling, more aliveness without becoming overwhelmed.
In that expanded capacity, you remember something essential: you are grounded enough to feel. Grounded enough to be authentic. Grounded enough to belong.
This is alchemy. The transmutation of bound activation into aliveness. Of fragmentation into wholeness. Of exile into homecoming.
And it happens through the body. Through the earth. Through the presence of others who are also unfurling.
This 6-Week Journey
EARTH
The stability that comes from being held. The felt sense of belonging. Your weight settling into the world.
WATER
What wants to move through you. The permission to feel. Grief, joy, and all the fluid states in between.
AIR
The breath that carries your truth. Clear perception. Your authentic expression made visible.
FIRE
Your life force returning. The heat of your own aliveness. Your right to take up space and be seen.
ETHER
The infinite that holds us all. Non-doing. Your place in something larger than yourself.
INTEGRATION
All of you, together. Embodied and alive. Re-membered into your true nature.
The Practice
We gather outdoors on the Hamakua Coast. You feel the ground beneath your feet. The air on your skin. The presence of others.
Arrival & Attunement
We arrive and settle into the space. You feel your weight settling into the earth. Your nervous system begins to sense: this is a held container.
Breathwork & Interoception
We work with the breath as direct communication with your nervous system. Specific breathing patterns signal grounding and presence. Then we turn awareness inward. You begin to notice sensation. The warmth in your hands. The tightness in your chest. The aliveness in your belly. You're learning to listen to what your body knows.
Elemental Immersion & Ritual
Intentional engagement with the week's element. You might ground your feet in earth, release something to the water, breathe into open sky, tend a fire, or sit in spacious presence. Not performance. Just you, showing up with your whole self. Your body learning to move and feel again.
Forest Bathing & Nature Attunement
Shinrin-yoku. We slow down. All five senses come alive. The texture of bark beneath your fingers. The sound of wind through leaves. The scent of earth after rain. Your nervous system synchronizes with the rhythms of the living world.
Journaling & Integration
We write what we felt. What emerged. What our body knows. Integration happens through language and embodied awareness together.
Closing Circle
We gather close. We acknowledge each other and the earth that held us. You know: you are not alone in this. You are witnessed. You belong.
This Is For You If
- Your body carries trauma, and you're ready to feel it move and transform, not just talk about it.
- You've done individual therapy and it's helped, but something's still missing. You need to work with your nervous system directly.
- You feel disconnected from your body, from the earth, from yourself. And you know reconnection is possible.
- You're drawn to nature and to somatic work, but you haven't found the right container to do this work deeply.
- You know that healing happens in relationship. You want to be part of a group of people also unfurling.
- You're a beginner or you've worked with somatic practices for years. Experience level doesn't matter. Your body knows the way.
- You're ready to expand your capacity to feel grounded, present, and authentically alive.

Trauma is anything that happens too much, too fast, or for too long. The nervous system doesn't have the resources to process it, integrate it, or recover from it.
Unfurl creates that resource. In the earth. In the group. In your own body, remembered.
