Self Care Meditation
Today is International Self Care Day and I wanted to shout rom the rooftops that Self Care isn’t what the media portrays that it is, whatsoever. Self Care does not usually look like bubble baths, expensive candles, facials, massages, spa days, vacations, etc. Now it can…but this is not, I repeat, NOT your everyday self care. So what is self care really you may be wondering?
Self care looks like choosing YOU! It looks like honoring your boundaries. Saying no when you need to. Getting sleep. Drinking water. Choosing to not isolate. Self soothing through music, yoga, or a peaceful atmosphere. Considering what your inner child is needing. Eating something nourishing. Moving your muscles. Speaking kindly to yourself. Forgiving yourself. And most important in my mind- releasing expectations of yourself.
Congratulations! You are free to be you, whoever that is in this moment, without apology! You are perfectly whole just the way you are- and you are the only one responsible of choosing to love yourself each and every day. So love YOU and be YOU unapologetically.
