I’m Marisa, and at the heart of what I do lies liberation & reclamation. Liberation from self-harming thoughts, and reclamation of the connection to the body. My work is both ancient and modern, honoring my yogic lineage and my passion for somatic psychology. What I so passionately offer is focused on integration of the subtle body, both trauma-informed and trauma-preventative. Whether you have walked this journey back to yourself for many years or are just now setting out for the first time, I bow to you with reverence.

  • The body cannot heal if it does not feel safe to do so. Whether it be from trauma (experienced personally or through generations), attachment wounding, or deep loss, the body holds onto pain. Patterns that were once helpful to survive are no longer useful, but it is impossible to let go of these patterns until the body is honored in the healing process.

    Yoga therapy is a holistic body-focused therapy that integrates the breath, meditation, virbrational sound, ayurveda, and somatic movement in a way that specifically meets you where you are at on your journey towards healing. The practices are tailored towards your unique body with your unique background.

    We start our yoga therapy journey with a minimum of 4 sessions to bolster you with helpful practices to last a lifetime. Yoga therapy is a serious commitment to the self and we will treat it as such, with reverence to your path inward.

  • Grief is the most underrated catalyst to awakening in our lives. It hits us all in moments we least expect and upends our lives, often leaving us feeling spun out and far from ourselves. Grief is the greatest lesson of letting go of our attachment to form, asking us to bravely keep loving even when it doesn’t make sense.

    The Sacred Journey back home is a journey of alchemy~ weaving love and loss into the tapestry of our lives, allowing for the light that carries us through the darkness to propel us onward, inspiring us to show up with reverence and honor for the duality of life.

    Grieving together was once practiced across the earth in indigenous communities but the art of grieving together in Western society has been forgotten. In this 6 week virtual group, Marisa will guide students through intimate ancient practices of sound, breathwork, and somatic movement- creating a safe and fluid space to process loss.

    Sacred Journeys are held once or twice a year.

  • Relax and unwind while immersed in a bath of healing sound. Singing crystal bowls, ocean drums, rain sticks, and tuning forks weave together to bring you to a place of deep relaxation and meditation. Each Sound Bath is a a 30 minute session that alternates between guided meditation and sound to create a state of bliss in the body mind and spirit. Sound Baths can be booked for any size group- Marisa has done private sessions, small group sessions, and large groups such as Calm’s marketing team. Sessions are done in person or virtually.
