A six-week group therapy experience for coming home to your body.

Unfurl is a small eco-somatic therapy group that meets outdoors on the Hāmākua Coast. Over six weeks, we use practical, body-based tools — nervous system regulation, DBT skills, and breathwork, in nature, — to help you feel calmer, steadier, and more at home in yourself.

Unfurl is a 6-week journey of re-membering.

What Is Eco-Somatic Therapy?

Unfurl is group therapy — not a workshop, class, or retreat. It's facilitated by a therapist, every member joins with their own goals, and you'll complete a private intake before we begin. What makes it different is how we work: outdoors, in a small circle, using your body and nervous system as the way in. Healing happens in relationship, so we do it together. Facilitated by Marisa Youngblood- MSW candidate and yoga therapist, trained in DBT — under the clinical supervision of Joshua Anthony, LCSW.

This 6-Week Journey

Week 1

Grounding

Settling your nervous system and learning what safety actually feels like in your body.

Week 2

Emotion

Letting feelings move through in small, manageable doses, so they don't pile up.

Week 3

Breath & Regulation

Using your breath as a direct, reliable tool to calm yourself, and learning to read your body's signals.

Week 4

Strength & Boundaries

Reconnecting with your energy and sense of agency, and practicing healthy boundaries.

Week 5

Rest & Capacity

Learning to slow down and let your system stabilize, supported by the group.

Week 6

Integration

Pulling it together, building a personal practice to take home, and closing.

This Is For You If

  • You're dealing with anxiety, stress, trauma, or burnout and want practical, usable tools.
  • Talk therapy has helped, but you still feel stuck or disconnected in your body.
  • You feel numb, on-edge, or "not yourself," and want to feel present again.
  • You like the idea of doing this work outdoors, and alongside others.

INSURANCE

I'm working toward insurance billing under clinical supervision. Whether your sessions are covered depends on your plan and on meeting clinical criteria — we'll check your benefits together at intake, before you commit.

Bring water, comfortable clothes you can move in, a rain jacket, and an openness to working in a group. We meet in all weather.

No group therapy experience necessary.
